Hiatus!

Hello All!

Exciting things are happening!

Iowa was fun, we didn't place as well as we had wished, but we did get a near perfect score on our written report (kudos to the team!)!

We are continuing plarning sessions at Grace Fellowship of Augusta, and if you have any questions please feel free to email us! (Link is somewhere on this page . . . or it should be. . . if not operationplarn@gmail.com)

A Greeting From Dojack to the World.

Hello World! My name is Amanda Dojack, I'm a (soon to be) graduate of Westside High School, and I'm part of a monster.

Operation Plarn began in February 2013, and I feel like I'm allowed to say that I never honestly thought we'd make it this far.

I (along with my fellow cohorts) participate in the Richmond County Gifted Program. As part of Gifted we participate in the Future Problem Solving Program International. It has legitimately been one of the single most life changing experiences I, and other co-captain, Tyler Milks, have gotten to do in our entire high school career.

Emphasizing a six step problem solving process, FPSPi teaches critical thinking in a futuristic format, always entertaining, never a dull moment.
A segment of FPSPi is called the Community Problem Solving Project, in which a physical team identifies a real life problem in the community and uses the six steps to actually solve it!

This year was the first year Westside had ever participated in CmPs, and we are proud to say that WE WON FIRST PLACE IN STATE!
We have been invited to the INTERNATIONAL competition in Iowa this summer, and we hope to spread our knowledge about the horrors of plastics throughout the nation.

Having thrown a vat of knowledge at you, I encourage you visit our website (if you're not already on it haha) or visit our facebook.

There's a whole lot to what we're doing and we'd love it if you'd like to become a part!

I hope in the next upcoming days I can talk more about how we got here and such, but until then...
